Anyways we’ve been stuck in a cycle of high prices and mediocre peering for years, especially from Safaricom, these guys have made bread from gamers ngl. Been comparing these prices with what people pay for outside Kenya and its crazy. The Elephant in the Room: The PricingLet's be Honest, the first thing anyone would want to hear before making any subscription is the price, and from what I've read and seen. These guys' subscription tiers feel like a typo, coz what do you mean?Here is a breakdown;100 Mbps for KES 2,000250 Mbps for KES 4,5001 Gbps (Yes, 1,000 Mbps) for KES 10,000Bro, I don't know what these guys are thinking, but with these kinds of speeds, there's gonna be a shift in the whole competition regarding the pricing from all the other ISPs like Safaricom and JTL( Watu wa VGG na Konnect relax ). Also, for a gamer, this isn't just about downloading a 100GB Warzone update in minutes rather than hours; it’s about bandwidth headroom. With 100 Mbps as a starting point, you can finally play without lagging just because your sibling opened TikTok in the next room.But... Can It Game? (Latency & Peering)Watu wa Valorant and the rest, here is where the problem arises. When it comes to Latency, Peering, and Routing its not all about speeds anymore. If you want to play in the Middle East Like Bahrain or Riyadh, just pray for good days because Safaricom won't give that for more than 12 hours. Safaricom and most ISPs have "bad routing" where your data goes from Nairobi → London → Bahrain. This turns a potential 60 ms ping on Bahrain into a 200ms nightmare. Savanna claims "gaming-optimized" routing, which suggests they are prioritizing direct paths to the UAE-IX (Dubai) or Manama (Bahrain).
