Why I am shit at video Games

Bo hooo I suck

Let’s just get this out of the way: I suck at video games. Not in a “haha I missed one shot” kind of way. I mean consistently bad decisions, wrong buttons at the worst possible time, and somehow dying in places that shouldn’t even be dangerous. That kind of bad.And you know what? I’ve stopped pretending otherwise. The Myth of “Getting Good”Gaming culture loves the phrase “get good.” It’s everywhere. Miss a shot? Get good. Lose a match? Get good. Can’t beat a boss? Clearly, skill issue. But here’s the thing—what if not everyone is trying to become a pro? Some of us just want to load into a game after a long day, mess around, maybe win a match if we’re lucky, and call it a day. Not everyone is grinding aim trainers or memorizing every map rotation like it’s an exam.My Playstyle (If You Can Call It That)I panic. That’s really it.Put me in a high-pressure situation, and suddenly I forget every control I’ve ever learned. I reload at the wrong time. I aim at the floor. I throw a grenade directly into a wall in front of me.And yet… I keep playing.Because somehow, between all the chaos, there are moments where everything clicks. One clean play. One lucky shot. One win that feels completely undeserved—but amazing anyway. Why I Still PlayIf I’m being honest, I’m not here for rank.I’m here for:The laughs when things go horribly wrongThe random wins that feel like miraclesThe chaos of playing with friendsAnd the occasional moment where I accidentally look like I know what I’m doingGaming, at its core, is supposed to be fun. Not a job. Not a stress test.Redefining “Good”Maybe being “good” at games isn’t just about skill.Maybe it’s about:Enjoying the time you spend playingNot taking every loss personallyFinding your own way to have funBecause if that’s the case, then yeah—I might still suck at video games. But I’m having a great time doing it.
